This is not too bad for a plastic storage box. I put it on the floor by my desk and is also serves as a table for my rechargeable devices. Considering it is a snap together plastic box, it is quite sturdy.Looks nice and it's great if you need to stack boxes together, although I don't know how much weight you would want to stack on top of these, but at least the structure of it remains intact when you open the side. If these were about $20, having a stack of them in the corner of a room would be cool but that would kind of defeat the purpose of being collapsible. The box isn't very big so unless you really have a definitely purpose in mind and really like the look (the woodgrain melamine top looks very nice actually), there might be better options for you if you need storage capacity, but for what it is, this box is kind of unique and interesting. If you need a medium sized collapsible box that you might have to stack something on top of in use and need the side access, this could be just what you need. I've been using mine to shuffle small items in and out of storage - load from the top and remove items from the side without having to take the whole box down off of a shelf. Pretty handy in that way.I had someone else assemble this storage box, so I am not sure how easy or difficult that part is. But I will say that once it was assembled, it met every single one of my needs. It is very sturdy, and it is beautiful. I am delighted to have this storage box, which is a much welcome change from the ordinary storage containers I have possessed. This container looks like it would contain things that are special to me, and that is the whole intent.THE GOOD:--------------* Packs flat, collapsible if you need to put it away.* Stackable with the included bottom connectors. The top of the frame has notches, so these connectors go into the notches.* Flip doors on both the long side of the box, so you don't need to open the lid if you have things stacked on top of it.* The wooden accent piece as a lid is a nice aesthetic touch, but it's actually MDF.* Dimension is 18.5x13.77x9.25 when fully opened.* Dimension is 18.5x13.77x2.75 when folded flat.* 42L capacity.THE BAD:------------* The price. At $72 a pop, how many are you going to get? We'll go 4-Stars overall.Easy to assemble and easy to put away it is very sturdy and durable and I love the look and easy to stackThis is a really nice storage box, but IMO it’s overpriced. It’s nice and sturdy but smaller than I thought it would be and the plastic seems a little thin.I got it to store medication and supplements in my pantry because I don’t like that being the first thing you see when you open the door. It’s perfect, looks nice and holds a lot but I don’t think it’s worth $70+.It would be a five star product for half the price!I have both Katei Story bins. Both are hard plastic with a beautiful faux wooden lid. The lid on both is totally removable, has no hinge to hold it in place. Both were easy to put together. The body of this one is beige or light tan. This one has small wheels, but the wheels do not turn. I may take them off.This one the smaller of the two and has the convenient feature of opening at the sides. This is a good feature because then you can have a stack of them and you don't have to unstack them to get to the contents in the lower ones. Though it is going to take some effort to see the bottom contents and get to it (its not a drawer). I suggest you slide a smaller box inside the bottom one as a sort of drawer. Three of these stacked would be good.I do wish the two crates both had the same footprint and were designed to stack. I wish this one was a little larger. Those are my only complaints.Have the 56L crate which we like and decided to get this 42L to store smaller items. The setup is a bit different from the larger crate and the color was a bit darker (more yellow). To set it up, you push all 4-sides up and then clip the top rectangle over each side. It's nice that it snaps over the sides for stability, however it only really snaps on the two shorter sides leaving the longer sides somewhat loose. The front-loading door are pretty sturdy and opens easily. It's a nice feature to have should you stack them. Overall, very nice and sturdy crate to be used indoors.
